Project Overview
This project focused on developing an interactive interface to integrate stroke and spinal cord injury (SCI) patients into the control loop of a KUKA LBR robot. By involving the patient in the robot's operation, the interface aims to stimulate neuroplasticity, enhancing the rehabilitation process for arm-hand functions. The graphical interface communicates reliably with the robot controller program using named pipes. This design ensures seamless, multi-threaded communication for uninterrupted operation, facilitating an effective and responsive rehabilitation experience.
